Christmas Thuggery!
Let’s talk about Christmas fodder, but not the usual turkey, goose or stuffing, I am going to start with all the great things you can have for lunch before the fat white bearded fella breaks into your home via the chimney.
I’m going to kick off with one of my favourite haunts; Thug and their Christmas sandwich. I have to say I am not the biggest lover of turkey, but Dan at Thug has managed to design a sandwich that is filled with loads of flavour and several levels at that! Roast turkey, fresh cranberry sauce, pork and sage stuffing and a bit of greenery.
I had mine on fresh white, sliced loaf, but you can have it in a seeded or white roll too. This should definitely be on your pre Christmas list!
PS, if you want something tasty on the side then go for the ‘pig in a blanket’ – sausage meat, rolled in smoked, streaky bacon and baked in a home made pastry. DE-LIC-IOUS!
